As an actor, George Takei extends his voice to support important causes. In 2015, his musical Allegiance, which tells the story of his family’s time in a Japanese internment camp, opened on Broadway. The musical shed light on an important story in American history, but due to unforeseen circumstances, failed to attract the audiences Takei had hoped for.

What do you do when things don’t work out quite as you planned? Takei learned the importance of staying flexible, and adopted a new strategy in order to achieve his goals.
