I have just finished putting the finishing touches to my new 3 day ecourse Article Marketing 101 “Discover how to use Article Marketing to send your online Profits Soaring to the Roof!”
I was motivated to create the ecourse, because I got asked so many times this question. “How do you find the time to write so much content, articles and posts.” And being that it was a very good question I thought rather than offer a short explanation that might go over your head, I would put it into a ecourse. As most of the people who where asking where entrepreneurs and business owners just like me.
First of all I want to say that I absolutely, unconditionally love to write. Writing is the most wonderful way that I have found to express the millions of thoughts, ideas and philosophies that come alive in my head.
I was never that great at expressing myself when I was a little girl. When you grow up in a family of strong women, you tend to ether learn to shout louder or just keep your voice to yourself and I chose the later.
I personally think writing is the most healing and creative process that many should try. It’s like this great quote says.
“Dance above the surface of the world. Let your thoughts lift you into creativity that is not hampered by opinion.”
― Red Haircrow
It’s the one space of time when you can be yourself and you don’t mind the listening ears taking a closer look into your world and explore it with you. What has helped me tremendously in this process of finding my voice is having the right atmosphere to create my masterpieces in. As I spend most of my time in my wonderful Georgian home where I live with my family in the wonderful picturesque North East of England. My home office has become my creative sanctuary.
There’s no place like home
When it comes to being creative at home, you will want to think about the design of the area. You will want to make sure that it is something that you like and something that is like your personality. The creativity of your home will matter to you and only you alone as your the one living in it.
A lot of people are filled with so much energy that they never have the time or creative space to think about their ideas.
When creating a space to write you don’t want to have too much going on in a room, or you won’t be able to concentrate. “Now I would say my style is vintage” but I would say modern vintage so there are some clean lines in there, so I’m still able to capture my character while still keeping the room tidy and clear for my thoughts. As best as you can try not to make your home cluttered even though I’m decorating at the moment and things are everywhere, but you get my point. It needs to also fill comfortable and homey. You will want to put a lot of resources together to find your creativity juices.
A life full of colour makes a happy life
When it comes to designing your home, you may want to think about the colours. The colours can be mixed and matched. Something that looks good is when you use neutral colours and then add a bold color to give the room some pop. You will find that your home doesn’t have to be the same through out the house. You can get creative with each room; however, they have to move beautifully. Meaning, you have to make the transition between two rooms flow. So if you have a hallway you may want to go lighter in the hallway and beautiful in the rooms.
When it comes to finding ideas to help you generate some creativity, you may want to look online, in magazine and on TV.
You can take a look below at my resources box section for some of my favorites.
You can find inspiration for your home by going to others. When you visit a friend or family member, you should try to notice some of the things that you liked and some of the things that you didn’t like. Then you should try to make it your own and you should try to avoid the things that you dislike. However, don’t just take an idea, but build on it. Change it somehow so that you don’t seem like a copycat to your friend and also you would really want to make it your own creative space.
When you find something that you like, you should try to incorporate it by changing an aspect of it. Do it in a different room, or make the idea out of different material. When it comes to designs you can mix and match colors, but you can also mix and match fabrics. You can do so much with patterns and designs. Your limit is your imagination. You have so many options that you may want to have someone help you make the decisions because you can be overwhelmed with options.
Then once you get some ideas going, you should ask yourself if you think that the idea is you. Does it look like something that you would like? Is it something that you would like to have in your home? There is a difference between something that you like in one person’s house and then in yours. Sometimes something that looked nice in someone else’s home doesn’t look as great in yours because it was apart of the whole package. One little thing doesn’t make the room, although it can, it doesn’t always. You need to keep in mind that it just might not mesh well with your current décor.
When it comes to creating a creative home space and atmosphere for writing juices to be unleashed, you may never know what you like until you place it in your home or try it in your home, and then it just might look well. But you’re not going to know until you try something new and get creative.
